Ironwood Motorsports

Ceramic coating that lasts years, not weeks.

I correct the paint first, then lock in protection. Built for Missouri sun, gravel, and bird bombs.

What ceramic coating is

A liquid polymer that bonds to your clear coat. Not wax. Deeper gloss, water beading, easier washes for years.

Wax sits on top of your paint like sunscreen. It washes off in a few months. Ceramic bonds to your clear coat and hardens. It's more like a permanent clear coat on top of your clear coat.

What you get

UV protection

Missouri sun cooks paint. This slows fade and oxidation, so the truck you keep for ten years still looks like you meant to keep it.

Scratch buffer

It's not armor. It takes the hit from automatic car washes so your paint doesn't. Swirls still happen if you abuse it. They just happen slower.

Water beads. Dirt loses.

Looks cool, sure. What matters is dirt slides off easier, so a weekend wash takes half the time.

Faster washes

When grime doesn't bake on, you're not fighting it with a sponge every Saturday. Maintenance gets quicker.

Depth you can see

Gloss wax can't hold. It looks wet when it's dry. People notice it in a parking lot.

Years, not weekends

Do this once and maintain it. Stop reapplying wax every few months like a chore.

Paint correction comes first

Coating over swirls makes shiny swirls. I polish first so you lock in the finish you actually want.

The process

01

Decontamination wash

Soap alone doesn't cut it. The paint has to be chemically clean or the coating won't bond.

02

Clay bar

It pulls out the bonded junk soap leaves behind. Tree sap, rail dust, the stuff you can feel if you run a hand over the hood.

03

Paint correction

Machine polishing to remove swirls and haze before I lock them in forever. Coating over mess just makes shiny mess.

04

Coating application

Panel by panel. Slow work. Rushing this is how you get high spots and streaks.

05

Cure time

It has to harden before you drive into Missouri weather. I'll tell you how long to leave it alone.

Ceramic vs wax

Wax sits on top and washes off. Ceramic bonds and hardens. Neither stops rock chips.

Wax is a weekend hobby. Ceramic is set-it-and-maintain-it protection.

Why I quote per vehicle

Size, paint condition, and coating level all change the price. A mud-caked truck that needs a full correction before coating costs more than a clean daily driver. That's why it's not a flat rate. Call for a free quote.

Pricing
